Los Angeles!

I'm in LA visiting Marc and Kristin for the weekend between conferences. Dad is also here to visit a horse racing track. I had lunch with Marc and some of his friends Friday and visited Griffith park in Burbank. The park had great views (including the Hollywood sign) and I saw a little of the observatory.

And fancy drink! The area was along the coast with a barrier island, which was the first time on a barrier island!!

Conference in Sarasota, FL

Last week I was at a conference in Sarasota on Harmful Algae, which cause red tides leading to fish kills and beach closures. It was nice weather and the water was pretty. I got a few runs in, too. I did a five minute talk and an associated poster and I think they went well.
