First looks at cape cod!
After getting picked up by Whitties in Boston, we drove toward the cape through thick traffic. We eventually stopped in Dennis at our rental house to drop off stuff, the continued down the highway to see the area! We stopped at a couple of parks to check things out.

Fun in Boston
Kyle and I were picked up by friend Bryan at the Boston airport, and spent the evening with him and his wife Diana, who I went to high school with. We had some tasty fish tacos and a very pleasant evening catching up. We'll get to see Diana in a few weeks at the wedding! Unfortunately, I forgot to take a picture.

On our way to Boston!
Kyle and I are on our way to Boston finally! We are both very tired after Kyle helping at a summer school in Monterey for the past week and arriving back in Austin late Wednesday night, and I was in college station getting settled into a new place there and working to get ready for a conference next week.
We had to pack for 3.5 weeks worth of travel last night. Our travel includes a wedding in cape cod, a conference in new York city, then our own wedding in Seattle and some hiking afterward during our mini moon. This involves a lot of different weather and activities!
It also involves some mandatory items. We had a logistical problem when we were at the Austin airport this morning and Kyle realized that he had left his wedding suit at the apartment! We had no time to had it brought to us or anything, but we were able to allow the apartment complex to open our apartment in order to have friend Andy (who will be generously rewarded) grab the suit and ship it to Seattle. We actually wanted to have it overnighted to cape cod in time for our friends wedding, but that would have cost over $200!! In any case, crisis averted!

TAMU orientation
I went to an orientation of sorts at Texas A&M and got a lot of stuff. Kind of looks like the university barfed all over my table! I did learn the history of a number of Aggie traditions, which was interesting.
High MPG
Got a really good gas efficiency late last night after picking Kyle up from the airport on his return from helping teach a summer school in Monterey. I generally get much better gas efficiency than many cars, but the drive between college station and Austin is usually between 40 and 45.
Poster ready for conference next week!
I spent a lot of time coming up with a new poster design, then actually doing my poster for a conference next week in NYC. Actual PDF is on my website.
