The baguette I made the other day turned out to be quite tasty! We got some cheese to go with it.
Yesterday I made two ciabatta rolls for lunch and then tasty caprese sandwiches out of them!

New, easy way to do bread!
For the wedding, we received a kit of stuff to make bread easily on a regular basis: a pizza peel, a baking stone, and an instructional book. I used the set up once to make a small loaf of bread for dinner last week, and just pulled two small baguettes out of the oven. I am excited to try them!! The bread set up really is very easy to do, with delicious outcomes!

Pinthouse Pizza
There is a new pizza/brewery near us in Austin and we tried it
tonight, the result is that it was awesome! We had the armadillo
which had ricotta, cilantro, sausage, poblano peppers with a olive oil
base. I was very impressed with the crust and beer selection. If you
take a look at the photo you can see what the monthly casked IPA birth
date is, ver promising!

Cooking for the new year!!
| Banana chocolate chip muffins and fresh pesto |
| Jambalaya! |
Kyle and I are feeling better today after staying up for the new year and then sleeping in a long time. We weren't quite up to being out and about too much, so we decided to plan out a bunch of meals, go to the store, and cook. And that is what we did. Between the two of us, we made:
* a triple batch of Mexican rice and beans (an old favorite)
* banana chocolate chip muffins (tasty and healthy!)
* turkey chili
* pesto
* jambalaya (inspired by Kyle's mom while we were in Wisconsin)
* bread dough (to be made into bread tomorrow maybe!)
It was a busy evening!
