Farewell mini moon!

Goodbye Cascades, for now. We're looking forward to returning soon!

On the drive back to Seattle we actually saw another black Jeep liberty (from a different year) that also had writing on it since they just got married! Unfortunately they drove off before we could say hi or get a picture.

Maple Pass hike

We packed up and ate another really gourmet tasty breakfast at the Chewuch Inn and then took off west of highway 20 in order to get moving on our last hike of the mini moon. We hiked the Maple Pass loop in blue skies. It was such a beautiful day and beautiful hike! We also enjoyed some leftover goat cheese and pesto pizza for lunch!

Relaxing!!

The owners of the Chewuch Inn were kind enough to give us a couple of glasses and a bottle of wine as a congratulations! We will try it tomorrow since we wanted to have the bottle of champagne from the other night. Our room is really nice and we even have robes, which I've never use before! Our dinners at the Arrowleaf Bistro were very tasty too!

Kyle and I arrived in Winthrop with enough time to settle in an shower before heading into town for dinner. The place is very nice and there are deer here too!

Kyle and I drove to Winthrop from our hike, and so we ate cake from the wedding! Yum! Still have more to enjoy.

Hike pictures 2

It is tempting to put a bunch of pictures in here but I will just do these more and I will sort through the pictures later! It was so beautiful! We also saw a lot of wildlife! Deer, pikas, marmots, and we thought we saw ptarmigans but maybe they were pheasants (mommas and babies!).

Cascade Pass

Kyle and I got up at 5:30am to get hiking on the Cascade Pass-Sahale Arm hike this morning. It was a pretty day, though somewhat overcast, and I took tons of pictures! It was wonderful to be up in the mountains, in sunshine that isn't too hot, and seeing beautiful sights.

Kyle and I made it to our room in Marblemount pretty much just in time to pack for our planned hike Tuesday and pass out in bed by 930 in anticipation of an early morning.

Anacortes

After Deception Pass, we headed to Anacortes to visit a favorite restaurant, Adrift, for dinner. We also saw a random old ferry boat that looked pretty cool.

We drove north and stopped by an old favorite, Deception Pass, to explore for a bit. In the past we had only really visited in the winter so there were a lot more people around this time. It was beautiful as always and Kyle and I enjoyed pointing various fluidic structures out to each other.

First stop

The first stop on our mini moon was close to home: Dicks for lunch! Neither of us had been there for a long time and it hit the spot! We started our relaxation with tasty food and sunshine!

After taking care of some things Monday morning and packing, Kyle and I headed out on our mini moon mid-day. When we did so, we found the jeep had been specially decorated for us by Elroy! What a sweet send off!
